Charity - Concert at the Ford plants in Cologne.

The Sonnenblume e.V. is supported by a charity concert in the Ford plants in Cologne Niehl.

In December 2009 we were able to travel to Ethiopia with sufficient donations to buy the necessary constructing materials for the completion of the school. The constructions went ahead so quickly that the rooms could already be used for lessons. Great anxiety causes the insufficient water supply. Approximately five km from the village away is a source of water, but the water there is contaminated very badly. Illnesses and often deaths are the consequence. The World Hunger Organization has examined the local situation and suggested possible solutions (e.g. deep drilling or a solar-powered waterpipe). A great challenge we have set for our association.
